When should you book a trial for bridal hair and makeup?

Over the two decades, I have seen far too many brides-to-be booking a makeup and hair trial too close to their wedding day a wedding makeup artist and hairstylist, then being disappointed with the results and suddenly feel lost!

These are the usual last minute desperate enquiries from brides who chose to have a trial very near their wedding date.

As much as I would like to try to fit them in somewhere, sometimes it’s just not possible.

What should be done: Brides-to-be once you know your date and time to be ready by, please book your makeup/hair trials soon. If things don’t quite go to plan the first time around, there is always time to find another artist.

Ideally, it is best to start looking for your bridal makeup artist six months to a year in advance.

The most popular artists will be booked a year or even two in advance, the same goes for venues, photographers, florists that are the usual suppliers for your big day.

If you know your date, time to be ready by and your venue, you are well on your way to chose your makeup artist and hair stylist for your dream wedding.
